Well, there is actually just one guy here behind your guitar’s neck screws and threaded inserts. Yes, that’s me, Michael. I love guitars. I have worked with guitars for more than 30 years now, building from scratch, repairing, improving, tuning guitars.
What always struck me is the ingenuous simplicity of Fender-Style guitars. You can change parts easily, improve the quality and enhance the sound quality, with very little effort. When I first had to fix a loose neck (screw holes were stripped), I wanted it to do it right, so I won’t have to do it again in a couple of years. Other companies mount their guitar necks with bolts and inserts for many years now, I thought this would be a good idea for my Strat copy as well. So I used the exact inserts that you see on this page for the first time and never regretted it!
You can call this BS, but I feel that the sustain has improved, the tone is stronger and more defined. It does not turn a Strat into a Les Paul, but that’s not the point. You just get the best sound out of a bolt-on guitar construction, with strong attack and better sustain, still that clarity and brilliance but with a full bodied tone, just like you want it.
I have used this kit many times since then, and so have many other luthiers and guitar fans. Try it with a well build but affordable copy, you will be surprised, I guarantee! I’m certain you’ll find the instructions easy to apply and the tool I invented (come free with every order) perfect for the job.
.So that’s, all, just a guitar guy here, just like you. If you want to get in contact with me, please don’t hesitate! You find the contact below. Thanks for checking in!
